Terms of Use
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Who we are
This website, omepheus.com (the "Site"), is operated by Floria Ovidiu Mircea, trading as Omepheus Software, an individual in Romania ("Omepheus", "we", "us"). We make our own software and sell licenses for it; we do not develop software to order. Our current products are listed on the Products page. To reach us, use the contact form (available to signed-in customers with a verified email), the support page, or email support@omepheus.com.
2. Using the Site
You may browse the Site freely. Some features need an account, such as downloading software, viewing your licenses and using community areas. You must give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us if you think your account was misused. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Products, licenses and purchases
Each product is licensed under its own license agreement (EULA), which you accept when you install or use it; for example, the Chordiva EULA. A product page describes what each edition includes and its price. We sell licenses; we do not sell ownership of the software.
Purchases are made through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment, calculates and collects the applicable taxes, issues your receipt and handles refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's checkout buyer terms. See our Purchase Terms and Refunds for delivery and refunds.
4. Community areas
Some products have a community area where signed-in customers can share and download content, such as the Community Styles for Chordiva. If you upload content, you declare that you created or generated it yourself, that it does not belong to anyone else, and that you have the right to share it. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store it, show it on the Site and let eligible customers download and use it with the relevant product, for as long as it is published.
Share only your own work. We encourage the community to create styles and share only styles they created themselves, and not to upload or redistribute styles made by others, including commercial or factory styles from any keyboard or software. Chordiva does not distribute Yamaha styles. It can open styles in the .sty format, with limited compatibility. All .sty styles we offer are generated by us. Yamaha is a trademark of its owner; Omepheus is not affiliated with or endorsed by Yamaha.
Do not upload anything unlawful, infringing, misleading or harmful (including malware). Uploads may be checked automatically and are reviewed before publication. We may reject, hide or remove any content, and suspend accounts that repeatedly break these rules. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us and we will review it promptly.
5. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload or probe the Site, try to access other people's accounts or data, scrape it at a harmful rate, or use it to break the law.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, our software and our content are protected by copyright. Except for the license granted in the applicable EULA, nothing here transfers any rights to you.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Site and our services available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue parts of the Site. We may update these Terms; material changes will be published here with a new date, and we may ask you to accept them again.
8. Liability
The Site and any community content are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Liability for our software is governed by its EULA.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your home courts.
